- be.troplive: the Belgian platform on tropical animal health and production
Be-troplive is an informal and multidisciplinary platform, which is open to institutional or individual members involved in tropical animal health and production activities. Its objectives are:- to create a network of Belgian institutions and individuals involved in activities related to tropical animal health and production in order to exchange information on ongoing research, training and development projects
- to stimulate joint actions in order to attain synergy in the field
to increase the national, European and international visibility of the Belgian expertise in tropical animal health and production - to improve the coherence of the Belgian Co-operation, in the field of tropical animal health and production
- to improve the relations with the agricultural and the medical sector in order to enhance the efficacy of animal health and production activities

The objective of the be.cause health network is to strengthen the effectiveness of the Belgian development cooperation and making quality healthcare accessible worldwide. This should happen through mutual agreement, coordination, and activities that go beyond organisations. This initiative is expected to breach the gap between the academic world and operational actors. - Educational Strategic Network
This network aims at identifying the way forward in terms of post-graduate education in developing countries. Ownership of the partners is considered to be of primary importance. - Health Systems Strengthening

This network supports voices of the South. It aims at developing common viewpoints on e.g. the policies of the Global Fund on Aids, Malaria and Tuberculosis, WHO and other international health policies with a strong focus on health systems strengthening. - Laboratory Quality Management

Main focus on malaria. Two major issues are addressed: the double ethical committee and the notion of “informed consent”, which are difficult to achieve in illiterate environments. - Equity, Ethics and Gender

The ICONZ project aims at Improving Human Health and Animal Production in developing countries through Integrated Control of Neglected Zoonoses in animals, based on Scientific Innovation and Public Engagement.
The One Health Initiative
Recognizing that human and animal health and mental health (via the human-animal bond phenomenon) are inextricably linked, One Health Initiative seeks to promote, improve, and defend the health and well-being of all species by enhancing cooperation and collaboration between physicians, veterinarians, and other scientific health professionals and by promoting strengths in leadership and management to achieve these goals.
